Sam went to his one-year checkup today. Dr. Stuebben says he's petite, by Alexander standards. He's about 27 pounds (95th percentile) but only 31 inches long (92nd percentile). I don't think I've ever taken either child to the doctor and had them fall below the 95th percentile on anything! Dave says we're going to start giving Sam protein shakes!
We also got a birthday present from Aunt Deborah today. A big stuffed dog that's three times bigger than Sam. I told her that someday she would have children and I'd return the favor. She got Maggie a huge stuffed horse for her first birthday, so she says she's just following tradition.
