First day of Preschool

Maggie started preschool at Trinity Lutheran on Monday. She'll go three days a week from 8:30 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon. She was so excited and had a great first week. When I picked her up on Monday, she told me that she was ready for kindergarten. My mom and dad actually drove down here on Monday morning to see her go to school for the first time! They said it was well worth the drive to see her so excited!

It was definitely a well-photographed event, partly because I got a little crazy with the camera, but also because Dave missed the first day because he was at SWAT training in Iowa. So these are only about half of all that I really took that morning!

Excited to pick out her first-day-of-school clothes!
Papa helping her get dressed.
Ready to go!

Look...I'm not crying!!!

These stupid captions are driving me crazy. I can't get it to work for the pictures below so...the one right below is her running into school (I wasn't kidding...she was REALLY excited!)

It was a big day for Sam too. Because he's now one-year-old (and most definitely meets the height/weight requirements!) he got to turn his car seat around and watch a movie in Me-Maw's "movie car". Because Dave was going to be gone all week and he usually has the kiddos in the mornings, Sam went to Shelbina to spend the week with my mom and dad.

How exciting for Maggie! I'm so glad no tears were shed. :) Ava is really excited to start preschool, too. She can't wait to meet all her "new friends". And she has a princess backpack, too! I already have the camera ready to document her first day tomorrow.
