2008 Cotton Bowl - GO TIGERS!!!

Dave's sister Julia, her husband Greg, my college friend Bev and I road-tripped to Dallas for the Cotton Bowl. Nineteen hours there and back was totally worth watching our awesome Tigers!!!

Next is a view of the stands about halfway through the fourth quarter. The Arkansas fans poured out of there and by the end of the game, there wasn't much red left in the stadium.

Below that - the scoreboard...awesome!!!

Then, my most prized picture of the trip...Dave and I like to watch the TV show Dallas SWAT. Well, my two favorite characters are Rich and Vince. The whole way to Dallas I kept telling everyone that I hoped we could see Rich or Vince (totally kidding, I never thought it would happen). Then, as we were leaving the stadium all hyped up over the big win, I saw Rich. I was so excited. Greg and Bev thought I was crazy and kept walking, but Julia (what a great sister-in-law) stopped with me so I could talk to him and get my picture taken with him. What a moment!

It turned out to be a star-studded day. Later that day, on our way home, we saw Governor Matt Blunt at (how random is this?) a Pizza Hut in McAlester, Oklahoma. We talked to him and everything. No pictures of that encounter, but it was still cool to see our governor at Pizza Hut.
