The last picture is that little rascal Sam. To my knowledge, he hadn't even seen stairs before this trip to the lake, but all it took was about 20 seconds and he was climbing all the way to the top. Like he'd been climbing stairs for months. It was so fast and so good, but also scary, because there are wide slats on the side that we're pretty sure he could fit through and fall to the floor. Just one more thing to watch for, because he's SO fast and SO busy!

Memorial Day Weekend at the Lake
These are the last of the Memorial Day pictures. It was a big weekend with a trip to Shelbina on Saturday, Sam's baptism on Sunday and then a trip to the lake Sunday afternoon and Monday. This was Sam's first time on the boat and while I don't think he liked the life jacket (too bad - we don't even let the kids on the dock without one, so he either wears it or stays on dry land!), but he did like the wind in his face during the boat ride. He even drank a bottle on the boat! Maggie LOVED the boat, just like last year, and spent at least an hour on the boat (in the dock, not even out on the lake!) with Papa just exploring and pushing every button she could find!
