For those of you who didn't know Lena Fay Baker, a.k.a. "Aunt Dutch" and "Papa", you missed out on a real treat. Some of you know how I love old country music...well Aunt Dutch's house was the first place I heard, "The Day the Squirrel Went Berzerk"...a classic! And one of my favorite memories of her was one Christmas Eve night when my sister and I were over visiting Aunt Dutch and our cousin Heather. I'm not sure how it happened, but the yellow canary (which might have been a Christmas gift for someone the next morning...I can't remember) got loose and flew into the ceiling fan in Aunt Dutch's living room. There were yellow feathers everywhere! Anyway, at 87, she had lived a full and eventful life and she will be missed. Here are a couple of pictures taken last Halloween when Maggie went trick-or-treating at her house!

Sam and Sam
My great-aunt passed away last week so we had a lot of family in town last weekend. Sam made his first trip to Shelbina and met lots of family for the first time, including his cousin...Sam, who lives in Chattanooga. Here are the two Sams...

Geni, Mom would have loved that picture! She did not like many pictures that were taken of her but that was a very good one. Thanks for sharing. xoxoxo
